Traditional district with a variety of ramparts and bazaars, a real maze of alleys bordered by stalls of traders and craftsmen's workshops.

Also nicknamed the New Medina, it was built between 1918 and 1955 to accommodate the flows of migrants arriving from different regions of Morocco. Its design was entrusted to French architects who complied with the rules of modern town planning while respecting the style and traditional Moroccan habits.
